Description: For first time users or beginners, this course covers the basics of using Power Point to create a great presentation. Topics include: overview and examples of presentations; core Power Point and Office skills (menus, toolbars, clipboard, basic preferences, Help); creating and editing slides; formatting; working with images; tables and charts; basic animation; presenting and presentation options; printing.

Learn things like: Creating a presentation slide show to present a proposal or report; including images and graphics in your presentation; adding charts or animations to your slides.

Prerequisites: “Introduction to Computers” or equivalent skill level

Microsoft Power Point: Advanced Presentations
Description: For users that have mastered Power Point basics, this course teaches you the most advanced features to polish off your presentations. Topics include: customization options; advanced charts and tables; advanced animation; advanced slide show options; customizing templates and masters; advanced graphics; embedded objects.

Learn things like: Adding advanced features to your presentations; creating templates of presentations for re-use and sharing with others.

Microsoft Publisher: Desktop Publishing
Description: Desktop publishing has opened up the world of professionally created publications. Now anyone can create professionally formatted books, pamphlets, catalogs, brochures and more, and save money by doing it yourself. Our Microsoft Publisher course will teach the fundamentals of desktop publishing. Topics include: navigating the screen; creating multi-page documents; adding text; creating the format; using the background; adding images.

Learn things like: creating a professionally formatted catalog to send to your printer.
