Digital cameras have become accessible and affordable for everyone. Our Digital Photography courses will teach you how to select a camera, use your camera, and even edit photos.

Using Your Digital Camera
Description: Whether your considering buying a digital camera or already own one, this course will get you comfortable taking photos, choosing the right settings, saving and printing photos, and even editing your pictures. Topics include: camera purchase options; understanding settings and features; taking pictures; storing, saving and managing pictures; basic picture editing; picture printing options. If you have a camera, we recommend brining it to class, as the instructor may work with student cameras as examples.

Learn things like: Understanding camera features and options; setting your camera to take the perfect picture; getting pictures from your camera to your computer; saving, sharing and printing photos.

Prerequisites: “Introduction to Computers” or equivalent skill level

Photo Editing and Advanced Digital Cameras
Description: This course will teach you in-depth techniques to manage, edit, print and share your digital photos. You’ll learn how to crop, edit, modify images, manage pixel resolutions to optimize colors and file sizes, change colors, remove red eye and do much more, to get your photos the way you want. No matter what software you have, you’ll learn everything you need to know, as all digital editing software work almost exactly the same. You'll also learn advanced camera settings like wihte balance, EVA and flash techniques.

Learn things like: crop and zoom pictures; remove unwanted images or scenes from a photo; optimizing photo file sizes; quick red eye reduction; saving photos in web-ready format.

Prerequisites: “Using Your Digital Camera" or equivalent skill level

Digital Media: Music, Videos, Images, Software and Games
Description: This course provides a great overview of all the digital media and teaches you how to get started. From digital music (MP3s) and video, to software and games, you’ll learn how to get them and use them. Topics include: review of digital media types; digital music (downloading files, using files, creating CDs, player purchase options); downloading videos; downloading software and games; saving and sharing files; scanning.

Learn things like: finding your favorite songs online; creating a music CD from your music files; sharing your files; finding free software and games; finding and watch videos and movies.

Prerequisites: “Introduction to Computers” or equivalent skill level
