Learn how to master Microsoft Outlook to keep yourself organized and save time. We also have a handheld computing class which teaches the use a Personal Digital Assistant (like the Palm Pilot).

Microsoft Outlook: Introduction to Email and Contact Management
Description: Outlook can organize your life and save you time. For first time users or beginners, this course covers the basics of using Outlook to manage your email, schedule and contacts. Topics include: overview of Outlook and screens; core Outlook and Office skills (menus, toolbars, clipboard, basic preferences, Help); working with the address book; managing contacts and folders; using email; managing the calendar; using notes; using the journal; printing.

Learn things like: Store your phone numbers electronically for easy retrieval; use all the features of your email program; keep track of appointments and schedules.

Prerequisites: “Introduction to Computers” or equivalent skill level

Microsoft Outlook: Advanced Email and Contact Management
Description: For users that have mastered Outlook basics, this course teaches you the advanced Outlook features to manage and customize your information. Topics include: advanced data management (finding, archiving, organizing); advanced email features; scheduling meetings; advanced contacts features; email security features; forms; integrating with Office applications.

Learn things like: Searching your emails and contacts to find exactly what you want; scheduling meetings electronically; setting email security preferences to keep your information safe.

Prerequisites: “Microsoft Outlook: Introduction” or equivalent skill level

Handheld Computing: Using Personal Digital Assistants
Description: Personal Digital Assistants are not just for sales people on the road anymore – everyone can benefit from having your vital information at your fingertips. This course teaches you everything you need to know to purchase and use your PDA. If you already own a PDA, you’ll learn how to master and use it correctly. Topics include: overview of PDAs; Palm OS vs. Pocket PC; making a purchase decision; synchronizing with your computer; entering data; date book/calendar; contact manager; tasks; memos/notes; games and additional software; utilities. If you own a PDA, we recommend that you bring it to class.

Learn things like: How to have all your contacts and schedule at your fingertips at all times; schedule appointments away from your computer; keep your handheld and desktop computers in sync.
