Introduction to Computers
Description: For the true first time user, this course teaches the fundamentals of working a computer. Topics include: understanding your computer; turning the computer on/off; basic Windows skills; operating the mouse, keyboards and printer and more. You’ll learn everything you need to understand and get going with your computer.

Learn things like: Getting comfortable with your computer; turning computer on/off; using mouse, keyboard, CD drive and printer.

Windows 98, 2000 or XP: Getting the Most From Your Computer
Description: For both new and current Windows XP users, this course teaches you how to get the most out of your computer, organize your files and manage your Desktop. Even if you think you know Windows, there are many features, tools and tricks you probably don’t know about. Topics include: Windows navigation (start menu, desktop, shortcuts, icons, organizing menus); running multiple programs; managing windows; organizing folders and files; basic and advanced customization (desktop, display, sounds, colors, fonts, icons, toolbars); system utilities (control panel, scan disc, disk defrag, task scheduler); logging into accounts; shutting down and stand-by; special XP applications; networking and remote access; help and support; file system and security.

Learn things like: Tips and tricks to save you time; understanding and organizing your computer, files and folders; keeping your computer organized.

Using the Internet and Email
Description: This course is for first time or current internet users who want to learn how to use all areas of the Internet and email. You’ll learn everything you need to get online, surf the web, send and receive email, search/research and more. Topics include: overview of the internet and web; web searching; email essentials and more.

Learn things like: Searching for information; using email attachments.

Prerequisites: Prerequisites: “Introduction to Computers” or equivalent skill level
